Various Illnesses Can Start Because Of Gum Disease

Certain illnesses can arise once a person has gum disease that has remain unchecked and untreated. The primary cause of gum disease is bacteria that can enter the bloodstream and cause damage to blood vessels running through the gums. Bacterial infection can heighten the load of toxin in the bloodstream and increase the risk for gum disease development. And can also cause health risks like stroke, stomach ulcers, lung disease, pneumonia, low birth weight babies & increase in premature delivery, heart attacks and insulin resistance and high blood sugar levels. Researchers have reported that the most common strain of bacteria in dental plaque can cause blood clots that induce heart attacks when they escape into the bloodstream.
