Take care of your gums!

Gum disease is the reason of the first drop of teeth in adults. At the root of these problems are poor oral hygiene, food or an imbalance of simple hormonal changes. To keep a smile, it is better to treat his gums as well as his teeth.
Beyond the teeth, good oral hygiene also requires special care shown on the gums. But 70% of French people are not aware that these disorders periodontal (gingivitis and periodontitis) can lead to tooth loss.
Periodontitis or gingivitis?
Whether gingivitis or a periodontitis, bleeding gums is often the only symptom detectable by the patient. It is therefore important always to consult his dentist for a diagnosis:
* In the case of gingivitis, inflammation of the gums is local. It is less painful and mostly reversible;
* By contrast, if periodontal disease is the whole support structure of the tooth, or periodontal, which can be achieved and the inflammation spreads in depth. The situation is more painful and irreversible. But in both cases, the bacteria in plaque that are responsible.
