Sealing cracks and sinks
Hollows and furrows on the surface of the jaw teeth, easily trap food debris and bacteria in the biofilms (plaque), thus promoting the development of caries. As soon as the first permanent molars have erupted (around age six) and according to the morphology that they present, sealing you may be advised. This polymer resin fill hollows and furrows and, combined with good hygiene, prevent the development of caries surfaces chewing.
Food
The choice of snacks is important for the dental health of your child. The fruits and vegetables and some cheeses are excellent snacks for dental health. Fruit juices that are 100% pure are preferable to drinks or fruit cocktails, which are rich in sugar and low in vitamins. However, a large quantity of juice promotes acidic conditions conducive to decay. Nothing better than water to appease the big thirst. Finally, make sure that your child consume enough dairy products, as mentioned in the document: Eating Well with Canada's Food Guide.
