As parents, you can fully prevent the occurrence of cavities in your child. A few food tips will help you:
* Protect dental sugar is the largest provider of cavities. You must therefore resist the demands of your toddler for sweets, chocolate bars, caramel, corn flakes or other sweets that will die hard in the enamel of his teeth … You have to minimize the consumption of sugar in all its forms, especially between meals. The nibbling limits the buffering capacity of saliva, thus increasing the acidity produced by bacteria in the presence of sugar products;
* The sweet drinks should be avoided, especially before bed. In addition to their high concentration of sugar, these drinks have an acid that can harm the enamel of teeth. The light drinks are therefore no exception!
* You will need to ensure that your child receives an adequate intake of fluoride (with a fluoride toothpaste and / or dietary intake). To avoid overlapping, practitioners should establish a customized daily intake of fluoride before any prescription drug fluorine.
* In areas where drinking water contains more than 0.3 mg / l of fluoride tablets or fluoride drops should not be prescribed.
* In areas where drinking water contains less than 0.3 mg / l of fluoride, the optimal prophylactic dose is 0.05 mg of fluoride / kg / d within 1 mg / d, all inputs fluorinated confused. For more information, see our "Fluoride, an indispensable ally."
